    • Function: Connects the vehicle transmission output to the rear differential to transmit rotational force to the wheels.
    • Design notes: One-piece, intended for 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) applications and specific 6L80-equipped configurations; includes universal joints to accommodate driveline movement. Universal Joint (U-joint) is used at the shaft ends to allow lateral movement and rotation.
